Custom apps,
built by people who run their own.

Every growing business eventually hits the wall where off-the-shelf software stops fitting: the spreadsheet only Dana understands, the process that takes four tools and three re-entries, the customers calling to ask something they should be able to see themselves. That wall is where custom development starts paying for itself.

What we build

  • Internal tools, job trackers, scheduling boards, quoting engines: the software shaped exactly like your operation instead of your operation reshaping itself around software.
  • Client portals, logins where your customers see their own orders, documents, bookings, or project status instead of emailing you for them.
  • Dashboards & data plumbing, live views over the numbers that currently live in five places, like the real-time trading dashboards we built for Hunter Killer.
  • Customer-facing web apps, booking flows, calculators, configurators, fast, mobile-ready, and reachable from a link with no app store in the way.

How we're different from a dev shop

We operate our own products in production, storefronts, AI workflows, financial systems, which changes how we build for clients in two concrete ways. First, we bias toward boring, maintainable technology, because we're the ones who get paged when clever breaks. Second, we design for the day after launch: monitoring, error handling, and documentation are part of the build, not an invoice line you discover later.

Web-first, mobile-ready, on purpose

For most small businesses a fast web app beats a native app: one codebase, instant updates, no app-store review cycle, and it runs on every device your customers already own. When a true native app is justified by the business model, we'll say so in the Blueprint, but we won't default you into doubling your build and maintenance cost for an icon on a home screen.

Pricing

  • Custom, quoted: every app is scoped and priced after a free audit. Fixed-scope proposals only, you see the whole price before we write a line of code.
  • Optimize retainer, $2,500/mo: optional post-launch operation: hosting, monitoring, and continuous iteration by the people who built it.

Frequently asked

Do I need a custom app, or is my website enough? If your team runs the business out of spreadsheets that only one person understands, or your customers keep calling for things they should be able to see themselves, order status, bookings, documents, that's app territory. If the pain is presentation and lead capture, a website redesign solves it for far less.

What does a custom app cost? App builds are scoped and quoted after a free audit, an honest price depends on screens, integrations, and who has to log in, not a one-size number. Fixed-scope proposals only: you see the full price before any build starts, and it doesn't drift mid-project.

Native mobile apps or web apps? For most small businesses, a fast mobile-ready web app wins: one codebase, no app-store gatekeeping, updates ship instantly, and it works on every phone from a link. If an app store presence is genuinely required for the business model, that's a scoping conversation, not a default.

Who maintains it after launch? We do, if you want, the Optimize retainer covers hosting, monitoring, and ongoing iteration by the people who wrote the code. Software that nobody maintains decays; we build ours to be operated, and hand over clean documentation either way.
