WEBSITE REDESIGN
7 signs your website
needs a redesign.
Not opinions about trends — things you can check yourself in the next five minutes. If enough of them land, our website redesign page walks through what a rebuild actually fixes.
- It's not readable on your own phone. Open it on the phone in your pocket right now. If you have to pinch-zoom or scroll sideways, so does every visitor.
- You can't find your own phone number in under 3 seconds. If the person building the site can't find the contact info fast, neither can a stranger.
- The copyright year in the footer is more than a year old. A small thing, but it's a visible, public signal that nobody's maintained the site — and visitors notice more than owners assume.
- Your load time is slow enough that you've thought about it. If you've ever waited for your own homepage to load, a visitor comparing you to three competitors already left.
- The design still uses stock photos of people in suits shaking hands. It's a visual shorthand for "generic template from 2016" that undermines trust before anyone reads a word.
- There's no single clear next step on the homepage. If a first-time visitor can't tell what you want them to do — call, book, buy — within 5 seconds, most won't figure it out themselves. If lead handling after that click is also manual, pair the redesign with AI automation for small business so inquiries don't pile up in an inbox.
- You wouldn't be comfortable texting the link to a stranger right now. This is the simplest gut-check there is, and it's usually the most honest one.
If two or more of these are true, the site is actively costing you customers today, not just looking dated. That's usually enough to justify a redesign on ROI alone, independent of how it looks. Curious what it costs to fix? Our honest cost breakdown covers both build and the ongoing side.
